Everyday Makeup Basics

Hello lovelies! I know for me, I don't always have time to do a full face of makeup, on those days I reach for my most important makeup products. Here is a round up of my makeup basics:

Concealer - If you're prone to blemishes and spots like me, than concealer is, or will be, one of your best friends. Whether it's spots, dark circles, bags, redness, or lines concealer is my first step. It can also be really good at brightening under your eyes (ex. the Kim Kardashian triangle). My favourite concealer is MAC Pro Longwear.

Powder - My T zone can become very oily throughout the day so I almost never leave without putting on powder. It keeps oil under control and will help keep your makeup in place for longer. The Rimmel Stay Matte powder is awesome, very budget friendly as well!

Mascara - Does anyone really feel ready to take on the world without a little bit of mascara? (I don't think so) Mascara is the easiest way to open up your eyes and give your lashes extra life. I love a lot of mascaras, but at the moment I'm obsessed with the Lash Sensational.

R-L, Pink Lemonade, Juicy Papaya
Tinted Lip Balm - If I'm in a rush and just want to add a little colour to my face a tinted lip balm is what I reach for. I don't always want the boldness of a lipstick so a balm with colour is great for those days! It's more natural and is moisturising. Revlon's Juicy Papaya is my favourite.

Foundation - This is at the bottom of the list because sometimes you don't need to cover up your whole face, sometime all you need is a bit of concealer. But, on the flip side, you may not need concealer and you just want to even your skin tone a bit; in this case a little foundation will do the trick! Rimmel Wake Me Up is a great drug store foundation (it is quite dewy and has a slight shimmer).

Those are the 4 (5) makeup basics that are the bare necessities for me. When I'm having a light makeup day, or I just don't have the time, these are the only products I'm reaching for!

Ciao for now,
Madeline
